Privacy

Do you believe we have a right to privacy in the United States? If so why or why not. And if we do what does that mean to you?

  1. I believe that we should be entitled to our privacy, but more often than not if feels as though we don't have privacy. The government, at will, can check every little aspect of your past, your present, and they have access to much more than that, wheather or not they choose to admit it or not. But the proof can be found when you apply for a job, your background check contains everything about you, you're social security number holds vital information about everything you do, it's you're identity, and it's how the government tracks you down. I have come to the conclusion that our privacy is out of out hands, for instance I am blogging outside a Burger King, and I feel as though they can track my computer down to this exact Burger King, the debit card I just used to purchase something has been tracked and they know my favorite burger and flavor of soda, the red light I just ran now has a picture of my vehicles license plates, no sir, we have no privacy.

WE try to have some privacy, but there are some people that steal our identity and money. we try to stop these people but they are still doing it. They get a criminal charge if they do steal anything from you.

  5. I believe the United States tries to put off as if we did have the right to our own privacy, but we sadly do not. Which is a good thing, because if we did have privacy there would be a lot of criminals along with undercover terrorists. The United States can trace back or record any phone record they wanted, listen in on any conversation, they also have satellites i believe to watch anyone in suspicion of criminal activity. We would love some privacy and some fight for it, but think on the safety side. If the government or the president did not know what the people were up to, because of there so called privacy. There would be a lot of terrorist attacks, more scandals, and I'm sure the criminal offense rates would go sky high.

  6. I believe we are given privacy in the way that we dont have cops checking up on us every now and then.We can do anything entitled to us when it comes to our property. There is no one who can really take that privacy from you because you have all the right to do what you want to do in a secretly manner, for the good. What this means to me is that the government does right in rewarding ourselves with privacy and freedom.

  7. i believe we do have the right to privacy because there are things that others shouldnt know...there also might be some things that went on when you were younger that you wished that would've never happened and you dont want others to know...Privacy to me is having some things to yourself without having to worry about others judging you about it, and also not having to worry about others using it against you

  8. I believe we all should have some privacy, eventhough someone is always there. the only thing that the government gives you as privacy is your life experince. other than that, u always have to report evrything, social security is one of the main choices government invistigates you.
